Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort asks, "So What Do You Do When the Sun Comes Up?"
December 2, 2007--The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is the home of three Pete Dye-designed Las Vegas golf courses: Snow Mountain, Sun Mountain and The WOLF. It is the only 54-hole golf facility in Las Vegas golfdom, and typical Dye golf magic abounds: dazzling water features, railroad tie-accented bunkers, dogleg holes around water, and shots worth making and taking. And now the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort has launched a new 30-second Las Vegas golf video that combines Las Vegas excitement with Las Vegas golf, asking "So what do you do when the sun comes up?" Obviously, they hope the answer is play one of their three Las Vegas golf courses, and make it as they say, "Your Las Vegas golf experience."
This Golf Writer Loves Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort Architect Pete Dye
October 30, 2007--Everyone has an opinion about legendary golf course architect Pete Dye. Some call him 'Dye-abolical' for creating seemingly too-tough golf challenges while others stand in awe of his design magic and ability to create golf beauty and intrigue with every golf course he helps develop. One WorldGolf.com writer, Tim McDonald, is of the second opinion, going so far as to say that Pete Dye is golf's 'lone design genius', and mentions Dye's Las Vegas golf courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort as among his favorite ever, specifically the Wolf Course. "Dye is my favorite golf architect," McDonald writes. "In a world of mostly blandness, Dye is a Salvador Dali. He has more imagination than any of the others. He's the one others follow. He's fearless."
Holy Grail, Heaven For Golfers Awaits at Las Vegas Golf Course Cascata
September 25, 2007--The list of accolades for Las Vegas golf course Cascata is long and deserved. The Rees Jones-designed layout is owned by Harrah's, and has been dropping the jaws of Las Vegas golfers ever since it opened in 2000. Cigar Aficionado called it the "holy grail of golf for high-rolling gamblers in Las Vegas" while Golf Magazine wrote, "Heaven for high rollers" and "few golf clubs in the world exude prestige like Cascata." And the Robb Report included it in its Best of the Best list. Click here to view more accolades and Cascata honors ... now. Angel Park Golf Club Again Rated Best Las Vegas Golf Courses by Readers
September 19, 2007--Angel Park Golf Club is billed as the World's Most Complete Golf Experience because it is the home of 45 holes of golf, a lighted practice range, all-grass putting course, restaurant with patio, and a complete pro shop. And because of those amenities (and maybe because the two Angel Park Las Vegas golf courses are designed by Arnold Palmer) earlier this year readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal selected the facility as the best Las Vegas golf course in the annual Best of Las Vegas poll for the 10th-straight year, and 13 out of the last 14 years. And the Legacy Golf Club, the sister course to Angel Park, came in second.
Best Las Vegas Golf Courses Built By Top in the World
August 27, 2007--Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world, and has been dubbed by VegasGolfer Magazine as the world's most exciting golf destination. For us, we think it's simply the ultimate golf city, and that moniker is backed up by the fact that many of the best Las Vegas golf courses have been designed by the world's best golf course designers including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Weiskopf, Johnny Miller, Rees Jones, Perry Dye, Pete Dye, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Sr., Hale Irwin, Dave Druzisky, Billy Casper, Greg Nash, Lee Schmidt, Brian Curley, Arnold Palmer, Tom Fazio, Arthur Hills, Ted Robinson, and probably a few others that we have missed while quickly going through our mental rolodex. Whatever the case, Las Vegas golf courses stand up against the best in the world, and many are rated as the best.
Legacy Golf Club 'Suits' Hole Symbolizes All Las Vegas Golf Courses
August 7, 2007--When Arthur Hills designed Legacy Golf Club--in Las Vegas!--he knew he wanted to leave some kind of exciting, true Vegas-sy mark on the Las Vegas golf course. So, after he and his team pondered the situatuon, they came up with what today could be one of the most memorable holes on any of the top Las Vegas golf courses. The "suits" hole is the 10th hole at Legacy, and features each of the four tee boxes designed in the shape of a suit in a deck of cards. The hole is dramatic from the air, and gives the course added intrigue for those who play it.
Carnoustie's 15th Hole Comes to Life at Las Vegas Golf Course Royal Links Golf Club
July 18, 2007--When esteemed golf architect Perry Dye was creating Royal Links Golf Club (inspired by the great holes used in the British Open), he and his team spent many days touring every inch of each of the golf courses used in the long history of the British Open rotation. On the trip, he took special note of Carnoustie, site of the 2007 Open Championship. Many players and experts think it is the toughest course used in the rotation, and Las Vegas golfers can experience a piece of the Carnoustie challenge when they tee it up on the par 4, 16th hole at Royal Links Golf Club, a nice replication of Carnoustie's 15th.

Las Vegas Golf Links Ooze From PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP
May 14, 2007--Who was the world-class Las Vegas golf instructor with two horses--oops, players--on the first page of the final leaderboard at THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP? Butch Harmon, that's who. His new star is Phil Mickelson, who under Harmon's eye won his first PLAYERS trophy, while Harmon's longtime pupil, former UNLV star Adam Scott, put together a solid week to finish in a tie for sixth after a nifty Sunday 67. Harmon operates the Butch Harmon School of Golf at the Rees Jones-designed Rio Secco Golf Club right here in the Las Vegas golf region. But that wasn't the only dynamic Las Vegas golf link playing out on national television. Pete Dye, the designer of the three fabulous Las Vegas golf courses at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, is also the designer of the "diabolical" PLAYERS Stadium course at TPCSawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and the NBC announcing teams used terms like "genius" when describing Dye's work at this illustrious layout. And you can't help but see a little similarity between at least a couple of the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort and STADIUM course holes.
