At Least Eight Las Vegas PGA Tour Pros In Line For FedEx Cup Playoffs

Las Vegas, Nevada (August 21, 2011)--There are more than 30 tour pros who have strong ties to Las Vegas golf courses. And of those, at least eight--or nine--depending on how you count, have clinched a spot in the 2011 FedEx Cup Playoffs. And a few others have an outside chance and still getting into them. All PGA Tour golfers are led by Las Vegas Golf Region resident Nick Watney who is currently first in the standings. --By Brian Hurlburt

Las Vegas PGA Tour Pros Do Daily Double With Wins

Las Vegas, Nevada (August 8, 2011)--We're not 100 percent sure, but we believe this is the first time ever that two PGA Tour golfers with strong ties to Las Vegas golf courses have won tournaments on the same weekend. This daily double happened when former UNLV golfer Adam Scott won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and longtime resident Scott Piercy won the Reno-Tahoe Open. Las Vegas, Nevada (August 7, 2011)--There are two official PGA Tour events being played this weekend, and after three rounds, golfers with strong ties to Las Vegas golf courses are in the lead. Natalie Gulbis Returns to Beauty of First LPGA Tour Win

Las Vegas, Nevada (July 21, 2011)--Natalie Gulbis lives in the Las Vegas Golf Region and is a superstar on the LPGA Tour. She is one of the most popular players in all of golf, but she has just one LPGA Tour win. Two Butch Harmon Pros Finish Second at British Open Championship

Las Vegas, Nevada (July 18, 2011)--Butch Harmon is one busy dude. Again this week, Harmon had multiple golfers he works with playing in a major championship. Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson finished in a tie for second place. Obviously, that is the second loser, as they say, but still a terrific accomplishment for both. Las Vegas Golfer Nick Watney Posts 62 at PGA Tour AT&T National

Las Vegas, Nevada (July 3, 2011)--For a time this year, Nick Watney was being mentioned as the best golfer on the planet. He had finished in the top 10 a bunch of times in a row, and was playing lights out. He looks like he is back in form after a round of 62 during the third round of the AT&T National.
